wednesday afternoon

we had a short day of therapy today because we were forced to meet with a neuropsychologist. she acted like gen was retarded and i was a bully who controlled his wife's words and thoughts with his stare. it wasn't like talking to jenny, who understands that gen is not a retard. this lady was a total jerk. also, she was ugly. and she had bad skin. and she chewed her nails...ewwww, gross!!!

thank you to everyone for the wonderful christmas presents. gen and i were kind of worried that she wouldn't be able to use anything she got for christmas, but everything was so useful. gen said, "everything made me very happy!"

jenny- i was just giving her the straight dope.
more like a dope was giving it to her straight.

Whereupon I proceeded to take that mittenful of the deadly yellow snow
crystals and rub it all into his beady little eyes with a vigorous
circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined to take the place of the mudshark in your mythology here it goes, the circular motion, now Rub It!

Gen & Josh,
Happy New Year! And what wonderful progress you have made over the months since June! Bad understanding people are everywhere and you just need to grin and bear them as they are truly miserable with life, what a shame. May the new year bring continued progress and no ugly people! Love, Tracey

Genevieve and Josh,
I've been reading your blogs regularly and you've made tremendous progress. I'm one of Josh's olddd friends from school and happen to be a nurse as well. I'm amazed at how far you've come and I'm positive I'll be more amazed this time next year at how much you've progressed by then. I've had a lot of experience with therapies and rehabs not only at work, but with my dad (he had a cva on his birthday last year) and I can tell you firsthand that the most important thing above anything is the determination to gain strength. You two obviously have that :) Congratulations on every step you've made. Each milestone is a huge one! We're all thinking of you two.

Sincerely,
Anna NJau (Knight)
