gen is making me something in rec and ot for christmas. it's a secret. she and her goon therapists won't tell me. all she'll tell me is that it's "cool." gen's e-stim is going well this week. she is getting better movement of her right hand, and has almost perfected the "thumbs up." she's now able to grasp a playing card between her thumb and forefinger and let it go. in the pool yesterday, gen walked all over. i don't think she's done that much walking before.

It sounds like Gen is good at keeping secrets, and Josh doesn't like to be on the receiving end! Hang in there Gen. Don't give in. Make him wait to find out what the surprise is!
News of your Christmas preparations reminds me that I had best be getting busy. I'm not sure what it is I need to get finished, but I am sure there are many things. I think I'll make a list!
Tomorrow we will go to Silver Dollar City to see the lights, and to take our friend Susan and her nephew - 3 years old. We will enjoy the day watching him enjoy the day.
It sounds like you two have things very well under control there in Lincoln. I imagine that being together in an apartment is a real blessing after so many weeks in the hospital, and then in Madonna. You continue to be in our prayers.
