tuesday afternoon

pt- yesterday, gen took a couple of steps with her right foot on her own. her foot pulled inward instead of going straight and it didn't go very far forward, but it was all her. we did the treadmill today. it will take a couple times for the new people to get used to it. gen had more heel strikes today than she has ever had before, possibly due to the phenol shots.

ot- yesterday, gen had e-stim on her left wrist and fingers. she also worked on raising her arm up and down while laying on her side. gen had e-stim on her delts and fingers today.

rec- gen worked on typing with her mobile arm support. she needed less help than ever before.

speech- gen worked on conversational talking and breath control.

jenny- i say we leave now, we go to skyburger, and we scarf 'em down.

Hi guys, sounds like things are still progressing nicely. Typing without much help has got to be a great feeling. How are you doing with the wheelchair controls now? Is your apartment big enough to drive around?

We got hit with quite a winter storm down here as I'm sure you have heard. I spent 20 minutes chiseling ice off around my car door this morning trying to get it open and it never occured to me until after I had finally gotten the door open that I could have just poured some warm water around it and gotten right in. What can I say, I'm not a morning person. I am looking forward to some real snow later today instead of just all of this ice. Hope you guys are keeping warm up there, we're thinking about you and looking forward to seeing you again!
