this is susan, and i'm back in lincoln a day early this week. i will have to go back home a day early this week because of my work schedule. this is going to work out pretty well with gen's and josh's schedule too, because they will be moving gen into the apartment on friday, if all goes as planned. as we might have mentioned, there is not room in the apartment for three people. so it is a good time for me to make a graceful exit. because today was sunday, gen didn't have therapy. she and josh worked on her leg exercises, and gen can help pushing and pulling and moving her legs to the side. she said her legs felt more relaxed after the shots (on thursday she had four shots of the phenyl whatever in each hamstring and four in the right calf; she already had four in the left calf.) she is talking much more clearly all the time. she still has to work at it, but the words come out more understandably and more quickly. she also showed me she could lift her right hand about four inches off the bed into the air. she held it there for about 6 seconds the time we tested it. that is a great improvement. she is happy tonight because da bears won big over new york. we start another week tomorrow, and we are grateful for all the folks who are praying for her. while i was back in missouri this weekend i had many people tell me their churches or sunday school classes are praying each week for gen. what an encouragement! we trust God to give us what is best for each day, and He never disappoints us.
