gen was in the cardiac chair this morning. she looked at me with a frown. i asked her if she needed something. she spelled "entertain me." speech therapy didn't come at the scheduled time today. we thought gen would have her new trach tube put in sometime today. it wasn't. physical therapy came at 2:30pm. we put some real clothes on gen and put her in a wheelchair. we took her to the physical therapy wing of the hospital. she was put into a "standing frame." they sat her down in this contraption, strapped her in, and pumped her into a standing position. she was in the frame for ten minutes. she got to look at herself in a mirror while standing. when she saw herself, she immediately corrected her head so it was centered. i think she doesn't realize how far to the right her neck hangs. speech therapy came at 4pm. during the mouthing words part of therapy, we sang/mouthed "twinkle, twinkle." gen did really well on the "how i wonder what you are" part. we watched animal planet most of the day. we watched "house" just before bed. on tonight's episode, there was a semi-nude shower scene, house took lsd, and house commissioned a prostitute. we think the show is going to hell in a handbasket.

Entertain Me! What an ironic thing for Gen to say, she's always entertaining us with wonderful stories. Guess turn about is fair play. Which I could be there to entertain her, but until then it lies with Susan and Josh. I know Susan has some Bob Darch stories she can tell Gen, remember the tan shorts!
