sunday evening

gen had another quiet day today. we had some company, watched some tv and a movie, did the usual medicine and food things. gen had a bit of an upset stomach and skipped one of her "meals." she is on a new antibiotic and might be having a reaction to it. we are keeping an eye on that situation. gen did some work with the speaking valve today and got into the chair for two hours in the afternoon. weekends are hard in a way, because we have no real structure to the days. we have different nurses who don't know gen at all and who don't do more than is necessary for her. we have resident doctors making rounds who, again, don't know gen and pop in to "assess" her without knowing what they are looking for. for those reasons we like the weekdays better i think. but since we don't have structure, she can rest more, which gets her ready for another week of workouts. all in all, it was a good weekend and we thank God for all the blessings we enjoyed. susn
