friday evening

today's schedule was back to normal. gen got in the cardiac chair around 10am. she had speech therapy while in the chair. she worked with the speaking valve and with mouthing words. she is getting better at mouthing, especially with hard vowels. she went back to bed at 12pm. physical therapy came about 3pm. they held her in a standing position again. her neck muscles are doing better. she found center with her head all on her own. the pt had her practice sitting again, and she did well with that. they only tried one new thing. the pt leaned her forward in a sitting position and had her pull herself up and back so she would fall backwards into the occupational therapist's arms. she did this five times.

To Genevieve, Josh, and Susan,

I talked to Bill this afternoon and he told me about seeing all of you. I wish I could have been there too. I am still in CO with Amy, Chuck, and the 5 grandsons, but Bill is coming after me tomorrow. Grandson Elijah, 5 yrs old, has started including Genevieve in his prayers. When he pauses, I know he is trying to remember your name, Gen, so I help him out. A few more days, and I think he will have it. I am thinking tonight of Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I know He will give all of you the strength you need for the hard work you are doing. We love you.

Dear Susan and Genevieve,
For All Bible gave me the blog information. I wanted to let you know that I have been praying every day for Genevieve and her family and her doctors. My Sunday School class at the Nazarene Church has been praying the last two weeks as well. My heart goes out to you and I am encouraged at the progress you are making. My the Lord continue to give you the strenght you need and bless you and may HE supply all your needs. Love, Karen B
