do you want fries with that shake?
gen shook her head "no" today. it's not a very strong shake, but with a little practice, she'll get it. gen nodded her head many times today. it gets easier every time she does it. she is now off heparin(blood thinner). she is taking coumadin, which is a long-term blood thinner. the respiratory therapist took her off all extra oxygen today too. due to the holiday, the speech, physical and occupational therapists were not here. we did a few excercises with her, and plan to hit it hard tomorrow. genevieve woke up at 2:30 am, asking when the "monk" marathon on usa was going to start. it started at 5:30 am, and we watched it until 10 pm. it's one of our favorite tv shows.

Today, we got a call from your mom; our hearts and prayers are with you. Take good care of you Josh so you can be there for Gen. We love you and we will stay in touch.... Faye is here and she sends her love and prayers

Josh, I read your updates every day. Sue is also very good to keep both Steve & I up to date on Gen's progress. Steve wants to know if you got the blanket from our church. The congregation (quite small actually!) prayed for Gen over the blanket. Your entire family remains in our thoughts and prayers.
what wonderful news! Gen is amazing everyone. Her progress is just terrific. She works hard and we all pray hard.
